Job Description
Company Summary:
Bangkok Smartcard System (BSS) is the payment arm of VGI Group. BSS runs the Rabbit Card, which is widely used at the BTS, BRT etc. We focus on leveraging our group owned assets to elevate the payment experience and enlarge the ecosystem for seamless payment products and services to serve the group's customers. We are aimed to be the leading wallet in Thailand and SEA, working with different partners to maximize the benefits for every stakeholder.
Role Summary:
You will be leading the product, project team and building the commercial model of Payment gateway along with the experts in Technical, Operation Support, Business Development and Marketing Department. You will be accountable for key aspects of the overall new business unit development including, partnerships, sales, commercials, product, project management, team management, marketing and more.
From joining, we will build the team and product to launch within Q2-2022. Apart from it, we will work together to formalize the commercial plan to generate the revenue for BSS and plan the growth strategy and product roadmap for future phases to bring Rabbit Wallet into one of the largest wallet players in this region.
Responsibilities:
- Product Owner:
- Lead the long-term vision and product roadmap of Rabbit Wallet based on existing market and future trends.
- Aim to create an optimum product that would be able to serve the existing demands and adapt to the future roadmap.
- Translates product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Works in an Agile environment and continuously reviews the business needs, define priorities, outlines milestones and deliverables, and identifies opportunities and risks.
- Strategic Partnership – contributing to strategic partnerships with potential agencies, parties etc. Driving revenue for BSS and synergies with partners. Equally important with internal stakeholders to ensure strong collaboration with other VGI Group business units. Identify and explore potential product growth and business opportunities.
- Commercial – formulating clear go-to-market strategy and commercial/pricing strategy for launching Rabbit Wallet to compete in the open market and aim the growth in the first few years of operation; model for different business cases for ensuring sustainable growth of Rabbit Wallet revenue.
- Sales strategy and execution - formulate an overall approach for driving B2B and B2C sales mixed between selling to consumers and strategic partnerships. Setting sales targets and ensuring execution of overall strategy to drive the growth of BSS.
- Marketing and user acquisition - contribute to the market positioning of Rabbit Wallet within VGI and the fintech industry.
- Project Management:
- Works with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders such as Marketing, BD, PMO, Operation, etc.
- Set and manage the milestone, KPIs and deliverables of the product team to deliver the overall product on time with extremely high quality.
- Utilize the latest team management/tech management systems like SCRUM, Monday, etc. to facilitate the Agile environment.
- Ensure proper project management is set in place to execution of all BD initiatives, see projects through from inception to completion, maintain correct/detailed documentation.
- Propose partnerships and collaborations with potential off-the-shelf solutions and outsource software houses.
- Manage project budget on an ongoing basis.
- Mentoring the team throughout the journey and being the key player of the team.
- Develops and maintains appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance post-launch to evaluate the future investment.
Requirements:
- Proven long-term (10+ years) track record in project and product development, business development, strategic development, and partnerships specifically with experience in the payment Industry.
- Balance of technical knowledge and business acumen
- Customer-first, ABCD mindset
- Proactive, self-starter with excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment
- The high degree of organization, individual initiative, and personal accountability
- Track record in building and handling complex projects from scratch, launching to market, and ensuring commercial success post-launch into the long-term sustainable future.
- Experience in and understanding of digital/mobile payment, IT-based project
- Entrepreneurial self-starter with a vision and passion for the future of the fintech.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiar with the SDLC, PMP, PDPA, PCI/DSS, ISO 27001, EMV, ISO 20022, ISO 8583, Security Element (SE) and other basic payment industry terms and standards.
